Setting up Delivery -
I can absolutely arrange for pickup and delivery service to your residence (within 1 hr of Boston) ! (4 item minimum)
I pick up orders every Sunday morning between 5-7am. Most folks leave their knives on a porch, in a lobby or mailbox, or with the building concierge. Simply wrap your knives in a thick towel secured with rubber bands, and place in a bag.
I'll send a friendly email reminding you to set your items out the evening before, and confirm the next morning that I've picked them up.
I will drop them off right in the same place on Monday before 7am - just like magic. Included in the fee is guaranteed next day delivery. You'll receive an invoice in a separate email where you can click and pay via credit/debit/gift card, easy peasy.
No mailing your knives out or waiting a week for them to be ready. No traveling or waiting for an appointment. Simply fill out the form with your info - I'll get back to you shortly with a quote and to confirm the details.
WHAT FOLKS SAY
I am so impressed with Scott's business. I had nine items sharpened by Scott the other day, including pruning shears, sewing scissors, butcher knives and a very complex Swiss "Panorama" bread knife. He handled all the items expertly. Beautifully sharpened. Service is exquisite: He picked up the items to be sharpened from my front porch early one morning, exactly as we had planned, and returned them in the same spot, 24 hours later. And all the items came back with beautiful Japanese paper carefully wrapped around each blade. And a Bandaid attached to his business card! Such a thoughtful warning to handle the blades carefully. I highly recommend A Cut Above.
I've avoided getting my knives sharpened for years because it always seems to involve sending them away for some long period of time leaving me with none, until I found Scott and the process was seamless. Scott not only picked-up and dropped-off my knives, but the turnaround was 24 hours and the communication was perfection. I cannot recommend him enough, he was a breeze to work with and I will surely use him as my designated knife sharpener moving forward. Thanks again, Scott!
My man knows what he is doing, and provides excellent service. I sent him 6 professional level knives, and got them back sharper than they’ve ever been, even out of the box, 7” Henckles 4 star chef knife, 7” Henckles 4 star santoku, 6” shun classic damascus style hollow ground Nakiri, 5” wusthof classic hollow ground nakiri, 5.5” wusthof classic hollow ground santoku, and a 3.5” global paring knife. He even got a few micro bends out of the Shun edge! Best part of all, I wrapped them in a tea towel, left them on my front porch and he picked them up and dropped them off the same day. He advertises overnight but got them back to me same day. He even wraps the blades to protect them in transit. Very happy customer.
